When should I RSVP by?

Answer

We will be sending out invitations with RSVPs closer to the wedding date, but if you know for sure you are a yes or a no already, feel free to update either of us. We will use this information to better plan the sleeping arrangements and the catering! Thanks!

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes! Though we plan for the wedding to take place on the beach and the reception to be (hopefully) mainly outside on the beautiful grounds, we are expecting a semi-formal/beach-formal/cocktail sort of atmosphere. We'll be in a dress and suit!

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Let us know if you have any food allergies! We plan to provide food and drinks on the day of the wedding and would hate to serve you anything you are allergic to! Also, for the rest of your stay, the house has a large kitchen for guest use - let us know of any serious allergies (nuts, etc) so we can make sure there are none around to surprise you with!

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

As the time gets closer and we know who is coming, we may try to turn some of the local attractions (see our Things to Do page!) into group outings. Let us know any you are particularly interested in! Attractions like the Bushmills Distillery tour seem like they would be most fun with a group!

How do I pay for my lodging?

Answer

We want to make it as easy as we can on those of you we invited to our destination wedding, so we have rented out the entire Downhill Beachhouse for the week of our wedding. If you are invited, then you are welcome to come stay for free. We know that we are asking a lot of you all to come to Northern Ireland to celebrate with us, so it is the least we can do. Food & drinks will be provided on the day of the wedding, and there is a large community kitchen with oven and refrigerator (etc) space available for the rest of your stay. There will be grocery stores and restaurants nearby.
