Kara and Elisabet met at Acadia University where they spent their freshman year as roommates in Seminary House. Elisabet is a history graduate with a special interest in the medieval era. Upon graduating from Acadia, she completed a master's degree at the University of Toronto and currently lives in Uxbridge, Ontario with her wonderful husband, Steven, and their baby boy, Enzo.
Andrew Shaw
Best Man
Jeff and Andrew are cousins and have known each other since Andrew was born. They grew close when Andrew was in university and would visit Jeff in Moncton on the weekends; it was then when their relationship evolved from cousins to brothers. Andrew lives in Rothesay with his wife, Sarah. They love travel, photography, and their baby boy, Desmond.
Sarah Shaw

Kara and Sarah met through various Shaw family functions. Sarah has been a helpful and supportive resource to Kara as she has learned how to navigate being the significant other of a Shaw! Sarah is a nurse at the Saint John Regional Hospital and lives in Rothesay with her husband, Andrew, and their sweet baby boy, Desmond.
Peter Shaw
Groomsman
Jeff and Pete are cousins and share a deep passion for the Boston Red Sox. Together, they have enjoyed a number of trips to Sugarloaf, taken in a historic 2013 Red Sox ALCS series-clinching game at Fenway Park, and can always manage to get themselves in trouble. Pete lives in Grand Bay-Westfield with his wife, Kaitlin, and their two adorable children, Henry and Jordan.
Christine Reevey

Christine is Kara’s future sister-in-law and one of the sweetest people you will ever meet. She loves to make people laugh and has a gift for treating everyone like family. Christine is a Kindergarten teacher at Fairvale Elementary School and lives in Rothesay with her husband, Ed, and their three beautiful daughters, Kate, Julia, and Sarah.
Ed Reevey
Groomsman
Jeff and Ed met when Jeff worked as a starter at the Riverside Golf Club. It was there that they spent many days chatting and building a friendship. Jeff had always wanted a brother, and he eventually got his wish by setting Ed up with his sister, Christine. Over the years, Jeff has only come to appreciate Ed’s listening ear, generous heart, and consistent friendship even more.
Remi Winder
Bridesmaid
Kara and Remi were introduced by the Maid of Honour, Elisabet, at Acadia University in 2010. During their time at Acadia, they attended New Minas Baptist Church and a young adults Bible study together. Remi lives in Lethbridge, Alberta and is studying to complete a master's degree in Public Health. She has a dog named Lottie and sings in a community choir.
Gillis Boyd

Jeff met Gillis through Gillis’ twin brother, Greg, when they were working together at Whitehill Technologies in Moncton. It was then that they became roommates and best friends. The three of them spent so much time together that when people would ask if Greg and Gillis were twins, Jeff would respond, “no, we’re triplets!” Gillis lives in Spryfield, NS with his wife, Vicki, and their son, Max.
Sarah Lawrence

Kara and Sarah met as babies in the Woodstock Baptist Church nursery and have been close friends since Kindergarten. They parted ways upon graduation from Woodstock High School when Kara chose to study at Acadia and Sarah went to St. Mary’s University, but they have always remained close companions despite their long distance friendship. Sarah currently lives in Fredericton where she is studying massage therapy.
Greg Boyd

Jeff and Greg met in 2000 when they were both in school in Halifax. They ended up starting their careers together at Whitehill Technologies in Moncton where they became roommates and best friends. Although they now live in different provinces, they still work together at Wilson Allen and have managed to maintain a close friendship. Greg lives in Cape Breton with his wife, Joanie, and son, Cameron.
