The DC War Memorial is located on the southwest side of the National Mall, on Independence Ave. SW. It is in between the Korean War Veterans Memorial and the World War II Memorial. We recommend you utilize public transportation or a ride-share service like UBER. The closest metro stop is the Smithsonian Station on the Orange/Blue/Silver lines. It is about a 20-minute walk to the ceremony site from the station. For ride-share, type in "District of Columbia World War I Memorial" on your app.

Transportation options from the ceremony site: A limited number of seats will be available on a shuttle that will depart from the National Mall at 5:15. If you would like to reserve a seat on the shuttle, please RSVP here. Since shuttle seats are limited, Uber codes will be provided to get you to the reception. If you have the Uber app on your phone, please use the code "e31nt10" or use this link (event.uber.com/claim?code=e31nt10) so we can save the shuttle seats for those who don't use Uber. There are plenty of Ubers around the National Mall, so you should have no trouble getting a ride.
