Honestly, we don't care what you wear. Wear overalls and we'll laugh and love you more for it. If you want your best shot at looking like everyone else though, we suggest a summer suit with a fun tie or a dress of whatever length with flat shoes.
Arrive around 4:30pm to the farm lawn (follow signs). We'll start walking up to the ceremony site in the woods around 4:45 for a 5pm ceremony!
Food will be a build-your-own taco bar so you can choose to leave out the meat, pork, or cheese whichever way you like! But if you might explode if you smell a pig, then the farm will be a danger zone for you. Safety first.
Probably! If you have extra seats add them to our carpool group under the travel section so others can join you!
There is a shuttle to the wedding site from SILVERTON, OR. It will stop at the Silverton Inn and at the Oregon Garden Resort before driving to the Benedict Family Farm. There is no shuttle from Portland.
Yes! If you'll be a responsible sober driver at the end of the night then you can absolutely drive to the farm where we will have hired hands (cousins) as valets.
It depends on your style! Portland: has lots of city and food things to do, but you will arrange your own transportation to the farm. Which means accounting for having a sober driver! Feel free to stay at the farm as late as you like (or stay the night on our on-site campground!), but please do not drink and drive under any circumstances. Silverton: is a small town with a very cute town center with shops and restaurants. If you stay nearby, you can use our shuttle transportation between Silverton and the farm but hotels are extremely limited so we recommend booking early and looking at AirBnBs.
Yes! All guests are invited to camp overnight on the farm itself which has a strong national park vibe. Night time temperatures average 55 degrees Fahrenheit in mid-August. The farm is above mosquito altitude and almost never rains in August. The farm is also very close to Silver Falls State Park which has beautiful camp grounds.
You can rent camping gear from the REI in Portland or from companies like LowerGear or OutdoorGeek https://www.rei.com/stores/rentals.html#oregon https://www.lowergear.com https://www.outdoorsgeek.com/product/basic-camping-packages/
