Great coffee and great vibes. They also serve light food and some adult beverage options.
Jeff's favorite falafel in Greensboro!
French style brunch! Our favorite thing about Chez Genese is that they offer employment opportunities for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. They do not accept tips as they pay their workers a fair wage.
Europa is famous for their mussels.
"It's a taco joint, not a Mexican restaurant."
A convenience store which also offers sandwiches, within walking distance of both hotels.
A co-op grocery store within walking distance of both hotels.

This brewery is next door to the venue for our Welcome Party!
Bowling and booze, with food options!
One of our favorite bars!
A bar + arcade with a pizza stand inside.
Elsewhere is one of the coolest things Greensboro has to offer. Long ago, it was owned by a lady who refused to throw anything away. When she passed away, a relative inherited the property and turned it into a museum. Artists are invited to come in and create with what was left behind, but nothing can be thrown away and nothing can be brought in from the outside. Now, children and adults (seriously, it's not just a kid thing) are invited to come interact with the museum. Admission is less than $5 and it's worth it.
On February 1, 1960, four Black college students from NCA&T staged a nonviolent protest at a segregated Woolworth's lunch counter in Greensboro, NC. The refused to leave after being denied service, sparking a wave of similar sit-ins across the South and ultimately leading to the desegregation of Woolworth's counters. That counter is preserved in this museum. It's worth a visit!
Lebauer Park and Center City Park are right across the street from one another. There are some interesting art installations, activities, and lots of seating. It's a great place to enjoy nice weather. (There are also foods stands where hot dogs, milkshakes, and adult beverages are available.)
