Downtown Springfield is a true college downtown full of craft breweries, cocktail bars, and excellent restaurants! And, of course, home to the Springfield Cardinals, Drury Panthers, and MSU Bears! It is a short drive from the ceremony location and about a 20 minute drive from the reception. Here are some of Catherine and Jeff’s favorite places to explore: For a Caffeine Kick: -Kingdom coffee -Mud House Libations: -Mother’s is one of our favorite breweries because of its beautiful outdoor space and fantastic beers. -Hold Fast Brew Co -Golden Girl Rum Club -Vantage Cocktail Bar- some of the best views of the city Eats: -St. Michaels - Italian Deli -Druffs- a grilled cheese & tomato soup spot! -Springfield Brew Co, excellent craft beer, and BBQ! -Gailey's- diner-style classic brunch & breakfast

Commercial Street Historic District

Commercial Street Historic District

Springfield, MO 65803

This revitalized area features many unique shops, restaurants, and bars and features an open-air market on the weekends. (C-street city market). When Catherine’s grandparents first moved to Springfield, her grandfather worked for the railroad along C-street. Mark, her dad, even worked as a janitor at the Frisco rail site to earn some cash in high school. We recommend walking the street and stopping into any of the locations, but some of our favorites are: -Café Cusco -Pizza House -Hakaar's Bazaar- a mid-century modern thrift store and furniture store -Askinose Chocolate- a world-renowned local chocolatier -Big Mommas Coffee Shop -Historic Lindbergh’s Tavern- one of the oldest pubs in Springfield If you are interested in a unique stay in Springfield, a boutique six-room hotel called Culture Boutique Hotel. They do not take room blocks, but you are welcome to book yourself a room.

The Galloway Neighborhood

The Galloway Neighborhood

This is our backyard! Catherine lived in an apartment on Lone Pine when she decided to stay in Springfield forever. We spend most of our time enjoying the restaurants and trails in this neighborhood. We love Sequiota Park and the Galloway trail! It is a great place to walk and even explore some Ozark caves! -Great Escape Brewery -4 x 4 Brewery -Galloway Grill Bar and Grill -Kingdom Coffee

East Cherry Street & South Pickwick Avenue

This quaint neighborhood is home to some of the oldest houses in Springfield, and the neighborhood where we had our first date! Makes a good place for a walk and exploration of Springfield’s history! -Counter Culture- the best juice and smoothies in town! -Tie and Timber Brewing- where we had our first date, really good live music and craft beer. -Team Taco There are several other restaurants, shops, wine bars and coffee shops.

Farmers Park

Farmers Park

Our room block hotel is located in this area! It is a short drive/ Uber from the reception venue. -Aviary Café - delicious crepe restaurant, great for brunch or lunch! Progress- this is the more upscale restaurant if you are looking for a fine dining experience. We recommend getting a reservation if you want to go here! They also have a nice patio and excellent craft cocktails. There will be a bustling farmers' market featuring local vendors on the weekend. You can access the Springfield Nature Center, and trails from farmers park if you are interested in a walk or run!
