Armature Works
Ada's sister, Aimee, brought her and their mom here for a delicious bite to eat, tasty dessert, and a relaxing walk on the water. If you're looking for an easy evening hangout spot for a big group or even a relaxing date, this is a great place to explore.
Hyde Park Village
We loved eating in Hyde Park (go to Bar Taco!) and exploring all of the shops when we went with Ada's Auntie Jenelyn and Uncle Rodney to celebrate Auntie Jenelyn's birthday. There's a plant store with a really cute dog, send us a pic if you see it.
Busch Gardens Tampa Bay
Before Ada was an engineer, she went to Busch Gardens every year with her physics class for Physics Day. If you're in town for the weekend and are looking for adventure, visit the link below to grab some tickets.
Steelbach
Steelbach is a local steakhouse located at Armature Works in Tampa. Ada's sister and brother-in-law (aka Aimee and Eric) brought Ada here for some tasty steak when she was unemployed. Thanks Aimee and Eric!
On Swann
On Swann is an upscale casual New-American restaurant in Hyde Park. We took Ada's mom, Janella, here for her birthday one year. We really like the arancini!
Birchwood Canopy
Not only is this where Ada went for her Cousin Brittney's bachelorette party, this bar is on the rooftop of one of our favorite hotels. It's the perfect place to start if you want to spend an evening bar hopping in Downtown Saint Pete.
Wild Child
Wild Child is one of the best places to have brunch in Downtown St. Pete. After Aimee introduced us to this place, we always love grabbing brunch at Wild Child when we're back in Saint Pete
Ming Ming Tea
This is Ada's Dad, Viven's, favorite restaurant of all time. Not only do they have inexpensive fresh sushi, they also sell a variety of freshly picked traditional Chinese teas. Be sure to tell the owners, Greg and Ming, that Viven sent you!
The NONA Slice House
Ada's brother-in-law, Eric, loves visiting Nona's for a slice of pizza. Want more than a slice? Grab a whole pie! The spot is casual, around a great area to walk around, and has a large and comfortable outdoor seating area.
Mangosteen
Mangosteen is an asian fusion restaurant with a variety of plated options and sushi. Ada visited Mangosteen with her Auntie Jenelyn and loved the sushi and dumplings. It's in the heart of Downtown Saint Pete, so if you're looking to walk and eat, this is the perfect spot.
PDQ Tampa (S. Dale Mabry)
PDQ is a drive thru fast food joint that specializes in chicken tenders. Jeff swears that PDQ is the best chicken tender fast food spot of them all. Yes, you heard that right. Better than Cane's. Better than Zaxby's. Better than Chick-fil-a. Speaking of Chick-fil-a, Ada thinks PDQ's fries are crispier and tastier than Chick-fil-a. (P.S. There are multiple PDQ locations in the Bay Area, so be sure to check if there's a location closer to you!)
Fresh Kitchen
Fresh Kitchen is a Chipotle-like quick food option. Ada's sister, Aimee, used to live by a Fresh Kitchen and Ada used to pick up food for them if they didn't feel like cooking. Great place to go for a healthy, quick option!
