When people ask how we met, you’ll get two very different answers. Jed keeps it short and sweet: “We met at a bar.” Technically true, but the real story has a little more to it. It all really started back in November 2019, when Tori’s college roommate and best friend Abby met Jed at a fraternity event. She came home excited and said, “Tori, I just met a guy who reminds me exactly of your dad, Rick!” Naturally, Tori was skeptical with a busy junior year at UNCW. Fast forward to May 2020, when fate (and Abby) stepped in again. This time, Tori and Jed crossed paths at 22 North, a bar on Wrightsville Beach, and Abby introduced them. The rest of that summer, they hung out as friends—until Jed finally asked Tori out on a date in September. They took their time, got to know each other, and made it official on December 4, 2020, during a trip to Banner Elk with their college friends. Fast forward three and a half years, and on June 29, 2024, Jed surprised Tori with a proposal, surrounded by her family in Wilmington. And now, here we are—celebrating their wedding and the rest of their story together!
