First visit in Minnesota. Duluth, right in front of a frozen Lake Superior and the Coast Guard station where Jeanne's grandfather was stationed training for WWII.

Northern Minnesota, somewhere, Jeff's 60th bday 2023. All sunflowers face the sun. Duh!
Jeff's Parents, Judy and Harry Scramstad. Jeff is their favorite son and everyone can see why!
Jeff's sisters, Dawn Johnston and Heidi Domyahn. Thank God for sisters!
Holy Name of Mary, Bedford, April 2023. Me in yella with my fella.
Jeanne's Dad, Walt Costello, and his wife, Jane Bruce. Sadly, Jane just passed away on July 15th and we are in shock. My dad is unable to attend due to ongoing health issues, but he is graciously hosting the family dinner on Friday. My dad is a Marine fighter pilot and rocket scientist.
The source of the Mississippi, Lake Itasca. Jeanne used to tell her students "just draw on the source of the Mississippi...SOMEWHERE in Minnesota. It doesn't matter!"
Manhood (on the sign)! "Not just on the sign..." ~ TR
Beautiful Minnesota, almost as pretty as Virginia ;)
Texas, for Aissa's wedding, July 2022 (not a calf muscle contest, as you thought!)
US Marine Corps Museum, Quantico (2022), with the 1st flag raised on Iwo Jima. If you don't know history, learn it now. It's pretty good! We went to the Army museum right after...Jeff started in the Army then retired as a Marine.
Come visit us in Bemidji, Minnesota!
Abbey is Jeff's "firstborn" niece and he feels very close to her. Abbey is a nurse just like her younger sis, Paige. Jake and Abbey live in Alexandria with their dog and have visited Bedford a few times - once when my AC was broken and it was 100 degrees out! Jake drives a Fiero if that gives you any idea what this couple is all about!
Paige and Luis are also newlyweds! Paige is Jeff's niece and a superstar athlete and nurse! Paige and Luis asked Jeff to read at their amazing destination wedding and now we are repaying the favor with Luis reading at ours! Luis and "Uncle" Jeff have a huge affinity for one another - bonded over their love for PAIGE! The Almaraz's live in South Texas.
Wish mom got to meet Jeff. She and Memaw would APPROVE!
At the top of Sharptop Mountain. We hope that you get to enjoy the hiking options at the Peaks of Otter. Takes about 2.5 hours to get to the top and back (probably less if you're young!)
A B-25 crashed into Sharptop Mountain during WWII. The fuselage is there for anyone who wants to venture off trail to see https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KySjKNaW9vU
One of our many airport goodbyes - now we get to be together. FINALLY!
Jeff visiting my mom at Arlington National Cemetery. I fell in love with him when he kissed her headstone and said, "Nice to meet you."
We intend to be spending a lot of time with Harry and Judy and his Middle River family.
Jeanne's parents & Irish twin - Walt, Mary, & Joe Costello circa 1978 NPGS Monterey. My how things have changed but cats and Christmas are still cool.
Mother's Day 1970. Jeff is the middle child. His posture and waist are still the same!
"Hey, I just met you, and this is crazy." Who knew Jeff would be spending so much time on the phone with a 4 year long distance relationship!
Buffalo, Wyoming at the site of the Wagon Box Fight
Jeff thinking about Jeanne (or hunting)
Home Sweet Home in Bemidji, Minnesota. Photo creds to Jeff. Unfortunately many of these trees are gone from a storm that hit the town this past June. 12 of these trees ended up on Jeff's house.
