Bride
An ambitious woman, Jeanette took on the task of planning this wedding while also working full-time and going to school part-time as a psychology student at CT State Three Rivers. She is a giant nerd, loving Godzilla and Pokémon, and has put a not-insignificant number of hours into The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. She loves going to museums, zoos, and aquariums, where Nathan is not shy about buying her something from the gift shop. In addition to being ambitious and nerdy, she is also clever and witty, often making people laugh with a well-timed remark or joke. Her favorite thing to do is snuggle with her cats and a book and a cup of tea or an iced coffee (only iced will suffice!).
Nathan
Groom
Loyal, goofy, nerdy. Those are just some of the words some would use to describe Nathan. He is a lover of Lord of the Rings, LEGO, and photography. His hobbies include reading, playing video games, and making his future wife laugh. He is a loving son, brother, and uncle, and can be counted on to show up when you need him. He isn't afraid to be himself, and encourages others to do the same. He currently works at Electric Boat in Groton in the Industrial Radiography department. He loves a good museum just as much as he loves a beautiful landscape for taking pictures, and one of his favorite types of nights is sitting in front of a cozy fire with a cup of coffee watching a movie.
Jessa
Maid of Honor
Jess and Jeanette have been best friends since their freshman year of high school. They have traveled together, to out-of-state weddings and showers, geek conventions, and to comedy shows. Jess is the only person who gets Jeanette as much as her future husband does, and she wouldn't have anyone else standing beside her on the most important day of her life.
Mike
Best Man
Mike is Nathan's oldest brother, and seemed like a no-brainer for the role of Best Man! They bond over a shared love of video games, synthwave music, and general nerdiness. Mike and Jeanette tend to poke fun at Nathan's goofiness in the same way, which is also fun! Mike and his wife, Sam, are fur-parents to doggos Oki and Ranger.
Bonnie
Bridesmaid
Bonnie and Jeanette met online in 2011, and despite the distance and time difference (Bonnie lives in Australia!), they have become and stayed very close. They have bonded over their mutual love of 2000's emo music, pumpkin spice, and Lord of the Rings. Jeanette made sure Bonnie knew in plenty of time that she wanted her to be a bridesmaid so she could make plans for the long trip!
Dave
Groomsman
Dave is Nathan's middle brother, and was also an obvious choice for a groomsman! Just like Mike, Dave and Nathan bond over video games and synthwave music. Nathan is also a contender for favorite uncle to Dave's daughter Lucy, who will be featured in the wedding as a flower girl! Dave also enjoys home improvement projects and spending time with his wife, Kerry, and their dog, Gus.
Mary
Bridesmaid
Mary and Jeanette met online in 2012, and shortly thereafter they met in person at a concert at the New Jersey Festival of Ballooning. They have attended concerts together in New Jersey and New York City, as well as conventions in Boston and Philly. They are some of each other's biggest cheerleaders, and Jeanette knew for years that she wanted Mary to stand beside her on her big day!
Tony
Groomsman
Tony is Jeanette's basically-but-not-really-but-sort-of, unofficial, adopted brother, and actual biological brother to Jessa, Jeanette's maid of honor. He is also a member of the couple's D&D session, and has made sure to include Nathan in plans and making him feel like he isn't just "Jeanette's significant other" but an actual part of the group.
