We are asking for cocktail or business casual attire; no blue jeans, but khakis are acceptable. We also ask that all guests avoid wearing white, and that no guest wears a black dress, out of respect for the bride.
The ceremony will be taking place in the Alden Planetarium, which does have limited seating. This will be first-come first-served, aside from seating reserved for honored guests. The ceremony will also be streamed live.
Unfortunately, with the exception of the sister of the bride and the niece of the groom, no children will be permitted at this event. No exceptions will be made. If this makes it impossible for you to attend, we understand, and you will be missed!
Unfortunately, if a plus one was not provided on the invitation, we cannot accommodate this due to space and cost restrictions.
We will be having a wood-fired brick-oven pizza truck providing dinner, and there will be salad provided on the side. In the event that the weather is too inclement for the truck to be an option, dinner will consist of various pasta dishes. Final decision will be made Wednesday, 10/22, and the website will be updated accordingly. Cocktail hour will consist of small finger foods. Dessert will be cupcakes and mixed dessert trays. Vegan and non-dairy options will be provided for all courses.
The pizza truck will essentially be making pizzas to order, so you can absolutely make requests, however there will be the potential for cross-contamination, so dine at your own risk. In the event of a switch to pasta, we will do our best to accommodate as many dietary restrictions as possible. Vegan and dairy-free options will be available regardless.
Each guest will receive one ticket for a free drink; beyond that, it will be a cash bar.
All three museum floors, and the upper and lower plazas will be available for our use. We will have the planetarium until 7:30 PM. Museum grounds, including Wildcat Plaza, are not included.
We would ask that all cell phones and cameras be put away and silenced for the wedding ceremony and projector show; we would like all of our guests to be in the moment and allow our hired photographer to do the job we’re paying them for. This will also prevent lighting conflicts with the projector show.
