Please RSVP by August 15th, 2025: https://rsvp.jeanetteandmatt.com/
We recommend flying into Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA). If you’d prefer not to have a rental car, you can take an Uber/Lyft to the Seattle Ferry Terminal or take the light rail to Pioneer Square station and then walk a short distance to the ferry terminal. Bainbridge Island is approximately 35 minutes from Seattle by ferry. All Bainbridge ferries are first come first served. Plan to arrive in advance of your desired departure time. When driving on a vehicle, you may not get on the first ferry. Estimated wait times are available on the WSDOT website. If you live in or near Seattle, please drive your vehicle onto the ferry. There is plenty of parking on-site. Seattle Ferry Terminal: https://maps.app.goo.gl/KgZbLvPUrEvprAKK6 Bainbridge Island Ferry Terminal: https://maps.app.goo.gl/1YwKACygxUf5EhCj8
From the Bainbridge Island Ferry Terminal, it's a short drive to IslandWood itself. For guests who will need a ride from the ferry terminal to the venue, we'll coordinate something. Details to be determined based on RSVPs. On Sunday morning, you are responsible for your own transportation back to the ferry terminal. Many guests at our event will have vehicles so we encourage making a friend and getting a ride from another guest, but you can also use a Bainbridge Island taxi company. Uber/Lyft (limited availability) Viking Cab 360-344-4420 (call or text) Taxi & Tours 206-842-7660 (call)
On-site accommodation is recommended on Friday and Saturday night in a set of four different lodges. All events will be within a short walking distance on the beautiful wooded campus that shows off the PNW we've come to love. Each lodge features a large common area for our guests to congregate throughout the weekend, no matter the weather. While there's an abundance of beds available, the number of rooms is a bit tight. For the younger folks without children attending, we'd appreciate it if you're willing to bunk up with other friends or family members. Feel free to reach out to us for suggestions on who you might be able to room with – many rooms can accommodate up to six guests. And of course, you're welcome to instead choose lodging off-site. If you do so, please let us know when you RSVP so we can coordinate with the venue. To book on-site accommodations, use this link: https://monsonmirandawedding.eventbrite.com If you are going to share a room with someone else, select a Stay for One Room (covers up to the first two guests), as well as as many add-on guests as needed. Please book before September 13th. One of the reasons we’re excited about IslandWood is the space it provides for spending quality time together and getting to be surrounded by our community during this special moment. If the cost of on-site accommodations is prohibitive, we have a limited number of discount codes available that we can share with you.
For on-site guests, all meals for Friday dinner through Sunday brunch are included. Please note any allergies and dietary restrictions when booking your room and the venue will be able to accommodate them. If you’ll be staying off-site, please reach out to us directly to coordinate meals. Hard liquor and outside alcohol are not permitted at this venue and carry a $1,000 fine. We love IslandWood’s mission of outdoor education and don’t want to jeopardize their liquor license. IslandWood Marijuana and Drug Use Policy: Marijuana and other drug use are strictly prohibited on the IslandWood campus and is in legal conflict with their liquor license. Use of these substances may result in a fee and closure of bar service.
At IslandWood, basic towels, linens, and soap will be provided but please pack any needed personal items or toiletries. Islandwood does not provide hair dryers. If a hair dryer is important to you, please pack your own or coordinate with friends/family to share. Each lodge has a common amenities closet with a washer / dryer. Steamers can be used in certain areas near an open window but they can trigger the fire alarm system in the wooden lodges so please check with the Islandwood staff before you use a personal steamer so they can give you recommendations on the best place to plug this in and use it!
For those looking to extend their trip to Seattle we've coordinated a room block at the Sound Hotel Seattle for Thursday and Sunday nights. The Sound Hotel is one mile from the Seattle Ferry Terminal, conveniently located near many Seattle attractions and Jeanette's family. To reserve as part of the room block, use the following links: Thursday night, Oct 16th: http://jeanetteandmatt.com/oct16 Sunday night, Oct 19th: http://jeanetteandmatt.com/oct19 Please book you room by September 16th to receive the group rates.
Kids of all ages are welcome at all events throughout the weekend! However, if you would prefer to have childcare during specific events, we ask that you be responsible for organizing it. The venue has recommended trying the Bainbridge and North Kitsap Sitters Facebook Group. If you have questions about other logistics of attending with kids, please reach out to us. For those attending with kids, we'll have a second quick RSVP (link pending closer to the date): - If applicable, times at which you'll have childcare coming to IslandWood - Interest in using one of the venue's pack-and-plays
For the ceremony and reception, we’d love for you to wear cocktail attire and have fun with it! Comfortable shoes are recommended for walking on the grass and trails. No dress code for other events. Weather allowing, we'd like to take advantage of the outdoor space at the venue throughout the weekend. Fall in the Pacific Northwest is unpredictable – come prepared for cool or rainy weather.
