JC and Delaney met and became friends through a choir project at CBU. JC placed Delaney next to him in the standing arrangement. Contrary to popular belief, this was purely platonic. As they became closer friends through choir rehearsals, Delaney began to develop feelings. She looked forward to rehearsals because she knew she was going to be able to spend time with JC. As the project neared an end, Delaney was confused as to whether or not JC reciprocated interest. After talking about it with some friends, JC bluntly asked Delaney, "Hey, do you think I like you?" Delaney, caught off guard by his question responded, "I don't know, do you like me?" After a very awkward exchange of emotions, it was determined that both had mutual feelings. They began to spend more time together, started dating, fell in love, and are now are getting married!
