Walnut Creek
Walnut Creek has a lot of great food and shopping in the area. If you’re looking for food, you could try Original Joes or Sauced BBQ & Spirits for a more casual option. If you’re looking to do a little shopping, you could head over to Broadway Plaza. If you have a little one, you could head to Heather Farm Park for some playground fun.
Bay Street Emeryville
This is about 30 minutes from Walnut Creek. We spent many fun dates exploring Bay Street because it was right around the corner from Johann’s old apartment. We saw movies with family at the AMC, got a little tipsy playing putt putt, escaped the room at Red Door, browsed the book shelves of Barnes and Noble, and more. This is a family friendly area with great food, shopping, and fun activities.
San Francisco
The city is about 45 minutes from Walnut Creek and is where we went on many dates in the early part of our courtship. Between the food and the sightseeing, it is worth the trip if you have the extra time.
Napa
This is where we live and is about an hour from Walnut Creek. Our home is a quick walk from downtown Napa and that gives us access to a ton of great food and shopping. Some of our favorite food spots are Winston’s, Contimo, and Taqueria Rosita. We love frequenting our local book store, Bookmine. There are also a ton of great wineries around the valley but our favorite is Frog’s Leap-thanks to Shelby and Will!!
