What time should I arrive?

Answer

We recommend that guests arrive 30 minutes before the ceremony is scheduled to start to ensure everyone is seated on time.

Is there parking available at the venue?

Answer

Yes! The parking lot behind Shadelands can be accessed from Via Monte. If traveling east on Ygnacio Valley Rd. from downtown Walnut Creek: Turn left at Via Monte and enter the first driveway opening on your left. If traveling west on Ygnacio Valley Rd.: Turn right onto Via Monte and enter the first driveway opening on your left. Drive to the far end of the lot and you will be right behind Shadelands Ranch and have access to the property from there. We encourage people to travel responsibly and consider carpooling or using third party drivers like Uber if you plan on drinking.

Is there a dress code?

Yes! Garden Party Semi-Formal. We kindly ask that guests don’t wear jeans or outfits where white is the primary color. Ladies, there will be grass and brick walkways so please consider this when deciding on shoes. We would recommend wedges or nice sandals to be on the safe and comfortable side.

Yes! We will be serving beer and wine.

Can I bring a +1?

Unfortunately, the guest count for this event is full. Our celebration will strictly include named guests and RSVP only. We appreciate your understanding!

Am I allowed to bring my children?

Answer

Yes! Children named on the invitations are welcome to join. Please take into consideration that there will not be additional childcare provided during the ceremony or reception.

What should I get as a gift?

Answer

Your presence on this big day is the best gift! However, if you would like to celebrate with a gift as well, we ask that guests consider contributing to our honeymoon fund or use the Registry provided on this website.

What will the weather be like?

Answer

Walnut Creek, in mid September, could range from mid 70s to mid 80s. Jackets may be a good idea for the evening, as it can get windy. Both the ceremony and reception will be outdoors. There are trees on site that provide some shade. If you are sensitive to the sun, we encourage guests to bring sunscreen as a precaution.

What happens after the ceremony?

Answer

The reception will begin immediately after the ceremony, at the same location, with cocktail hour and dinner to follow.
