FAQs

If you have any questions other than what is listed here, feel free to reach out to the Bride and/or Groom from now until Oct. 9th. On October 10th, literally contact anyone but the Bride and Groom.
Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Our event is Semi-Formal/Cocktail Attire; Suites, Tuxes, pantsuits, cocktail dresses, gowns. Dress in dark, autumn colors if you can.

Question

How do I get there?

Answer

Best, and easiest way is to type the venue address in your phones GPS, and follow the directions. It's very straight forward, and the directions will take you exactly where you need to go.

Question

Where should guests park?

Answer

Guests will park behind the main building. Parking is free and there is plenty of it. If you are someone who enjoys partaking in alcoholic libations, please don't drink and drive- Uber and Lyft are your friends

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

We ask that you try to arrive as early as 3:45pm, and no later than 4:30 to ensure you are here before the start of the ceremony. We want to make sure everyone is on time and we can get the party started as scheduled!

Question

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Our ceremony is set to be held outdoors, and currently our reception will be indoors. COVID permitting, this will not change- but if we cannot hold an indoor reception it will be held outdoors.

Question

What heppens after the ceremony?

Answer

The new Mr. and Mrs. along with their wedding party, and family will go off to take some more photos. You are free to head over to the main building for cocktail and hors d'oeuvres hour before the reception

Question

What kind of food will be served at the reception? Are there vegan/gluten free options?

Answer

We are doing a buffet style meal, along with a carvery board. We did our best to pick entree's that would make any carnivore or vegetarian happy. If you are vegan or are gluten free, please contact the bride or groom- we can arrange for a vegan and/or gluten free plate for you. We want you to be able to eat at our wedding!

Question

Is there a cash bar?

Answer

Nope! We are having an open bar , so please feel free to enjoy yourselves. But keep in mind, camera's are a thing.

Question

Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media?

Answer

Yes! You absolutely can- we only ask two things. 1. The ceremony itself is unplugged. This means that we would love for everyone to be present during our ceremony, and leave the photos and video to our fantastic photographer and videography team. So sit back, relax, and keep your phone in your purse or pocket. Feel free to whip it out after our ceremony! 2. Please use the hashtags #StartedFromTheBowlAndNowWeHere and #AkehurstWedding1021, and make sure to tag the bride and groom.

Question

Where are you registered?

Answer

We have a small Amazon registry that can be found on our registry page here on our website, as well as we do have a honeyfund that you can donate to to help us have an extra special honeymoon.

Question

I still have questions!

Answer
