We want to see a lot of color and a lot of personality, but we also want you to be comfortable. Semi-formal cocktail, garden party, eclectic and unique are all acceptable options. The terrain is a little rocky and dusty in Pachacamac, and since it is primarily an out door wedding, I’d wear closed toe, comfortable flats or wedges, comfortable loafers, the like. There are inspiration collages in the gallery!
Pachacamac is a small town on the outskirts of Lima. Nico’s mom, Charito, and his uncle Freddy own houses right next door to one another. While there are hundreds of beautiful wedding venues in Lima, doing the thing at home is exactly the kind of comfort and intimacy we are hoping for. We will have a ceremony on his mom’s porch, and a reception in uncle Freddy’s yard.
Summer! While Lima is famous for being overcast all the time, there is some sun. The temperature will range from 70-80 during the day, and high 60s at night.
Kids? Sure! We can try to accommodate kids, just let us know. We don’t have any, so we won’t be able to anticipate your needs, but we are happy to make some arrangements with you. (For real, I love your kids.) Pets? Lima is a very pet friendly city, but Claus will be the only pet at the wedding; and Angelita, Nico’s step-cat sister will be at his mom’s house next door. If you see her boyfriend, shoo him away. Friends? If you have friends that want to visit Peru with you, absolutely make those arrangements and have fun! But the wedding will be by invitation only. Camera? Probably, let me ask my sister.
The seafood in Lima is incredible. Ceviche is a must. We will be serving Chifa at the wedding- this is Peruvian and Chinese fusion food! You’ll love it.
