It all started with a swipe to the right...a tale as old as time. Originally from Austin, Texas, Ryan was living in NYC pursuing his career on Wall Street, and Jayne had made the move from New Jersey to the city as a lifetime bucket list item. Deciding to give another dating-app-first-date in NYC a shot, they met on August 14, 2017 at Raine's Law Room, a moody and romantic speakeasy near Union Square. It was here that Jayne first learned about the Ryan-proclaimed superiority of deep fried turkey for Thanksgiving and subsequently saved Ryan in her phone as "Turkey Snob". Not too long after their first date, Ryan took Jayne on the best second date of her life - starting with dinner at Murray's Cheese Shop (he must have known that cheese was the way to her heart). From that moment on they knew they'd found something special. Fast forward 2.5 years to the start of the infamous global pandemic, Jayne and Ryan decided there was no one else they'd rather be stuck home with, and so they moved in together in Dumbo, Brooklyn. Through major career changes and growth, graduate school, and plenty of other ups and downs of life, they supported each other. Eventually, they decided it was time to take the next step in the relationship...and get a DOG! :) Moose joined the family in April of 2022 and now he runs the show. After cancelled vacations due to the pandemic, Ryan and Jayne decided to say bye bye to Moose for a week, and plan a big adventure to Europe in December of 2022. Ryan knew that Venice, Italy was on the very top of Jayne's must-see list and they made that the first stop on their tour. It rained much of their time in Venice, but the skies cleared on their last day and Ryan told Jayne a good (albeit made up) story about wanting to visit San Giorgio Island. Ryan hired a private water taxi to take them to the island, and it didn’t take long for Jayne to realize the reason for the trip was a bit different than what was promised. Ryan orchestrated the most perfect proposal right on the Grand Canal, complete with Venetian photographer to document the magic. After almost seven years together, they are so excited for the next big adventure of marriage, and are thrilled to have all of their loved ones together to celebrate with them!
