In July 2020, during the height of the pandemic, both answered the call for a movie dance audition. Jayme arrived with a close friend, who happened to be one of Mike’s good friends, too. And when Mike first laid eyes on her, he was stunned. “Whoa… who is that?” he whispered to a friend, completely frozen by the moment. What started as professional DMs about music turned into hours of conversation, then a first date kayaking with Bonchon chicken in hand. From a love note scavenger hunt picnic to long-distance days between Towson and Norfolk State, their bond only deepened. Through every season they experienced together, they built a relationship grounded in faith, trust, respect, communication, and joy — always keeping God at the center of it all.
