If you’re interested in doing some shopping in Houston, The Galleria has almost any store you can think of. They also have indoor ice-skating and quite a few restaurants.
Cockrell Butterfly Center
Where we went before getting engaged…a beautiful butterfly exhibit. Tickets should be $15 per person.
The Toasted Coconut
Our favorite restaurant in Houston! They make everything in-house, the food AND the service is always amazing, and they have great drinks! If you go, try the toasted coconut and the dumplings or eggplant for sure.
The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston
This is one of our favorite museums in the Museum District… there are many others within walking distance and museum admission is free on Thursdays if you need something to do before the wedding!
Double Trouble Caffeine & Cocktails
We love to stop here after dinner for a fun espresso martini….they have so many variations as well as mocktails! It’s also right across from Home Slice, which sells yummy pizza by-the-slice, as well as Winnie’s who has a great happy hour.
Pavement - Modern & Recycled Clothing
If you like to thrift like us, this is a great place to go! It’s next-door to other vintage shops like Leopard Lounge, Petty Cash and Lo-Fi. Caroline’s favorite coffee shop Agora is across the street. There are plenty of amazing restaurants nearby too. Also, there’s a Buffalo Exchange nearby if you’re looking for something more familiar. It’s located in Montrose: AKA the gay part of Houston. You should explore if you go here!
