Well it all started with Jay and I matching on a dating site called, Hinge. We talked all day and agreed to meet the next day in Guthrie (it was the halfway point). We’ve been joined at the hip ever since. Well technically, it wasn’t until the third date that Kiya was sure. After moving in together (I know right, such a BIG step, poor Jay), our favorite pastime became building furniture together and going on bike rides. We also love the movies and top golf. Our initial connection comes from our love for God, our love of food and our well meshed weirdo tendencies (I wouldn’t call what we do as singing and dancing but it sorta looks like it). The proposal was perfect, as in Jay actually adhered to Kiya’s request to keep it simple and intimate. Though many of Kiya’s family members were disappointed in the fact that he didn’t propose an hour earlier since everyone was together. We hope that our future continues to stay full. As we stay in prayer to continue to grow together and experience life. We may even try to be fruitful and multiple (but don’t hold your breathe). Either way, we’re just glad that we met the person we get to grow old with and live a life pleasing to God.
