What is the dress code?

Answer

For the ceremony, we are keeping it semi-formal and cocktail. After the ceremony is over, we are happy to loosen up. We're aware that we're getting married on Halloween and are more than happy to celebrate it alongside! If you want to switch to a costume of some kind, please keep it appropriate and low key (nothing that makes a loud noise, flashing lights, etc.). There will be children in attendance. The venue is a mixture of outdoor and indoor, but you will need to walk on the grass to get from parking to the venue. Please be mindful of your shoes if you choose to wear stilettos.

What are the dinner options?

If you have any specific food allergies that are not accommodated by the menu below, please email Samantha at jaysamanthaa@gmail.com. Everything will be available buffet style. Appetizers: Classic Cheese Platter with Crackers- Cubed cheddar, Swiss, and pepper jack (GF, VG) with goat cheese (GF, DF, VG) with crackers (DF, VG, V). Classic Fruit Platter- Seasonal fruit platter (GF, DF, VG, V) Dinner: Grilled Salmon- Grilled salmon with lemon-dill butter sauce. Braised Chicken Thighs- Chicken thighs braised in white wine and garlic (GF, DF, NF) Roasted Cauliflower Risotto- Roasted cauliflower mixed with slow cooked risotto (GF, VG, No Garlic) Wild Rice- Wild rice with butternut squash (GF, DF, NF) Roasted NC Root Vegetables- Roasted baby carrots, parsnips, new potatoes, and onion (Fall/Winter) (V, GF, NF) Winter Salad- Shaved Brussels sprouts, kale, candied pecans, craisins, gorgonzola bleu cheese, and balsamic dressing (Fall/Winter) (VG).

What accessability options are there?

Answer

Parking will be in a grass field at the entrance to the venue. It isn't a far walk and is relatively flat, but the path is not perfectly level. There is space for cars to drive up closer to the entrance to drop folks off. Wheel chairs and other walking aids should be able to access the venue after parking. The ceremony and reception spaces are all on ground level, though there are one or two steps in a few spaces. There are restrooms available and close by. We will be providing a quiet space for those who need a sensory break during the cocktail hour and reception.
