This Amtrak station is in the heart of Washington DC. Guests utilizing local transit may take Commuter Train RD Glenmont to the Shady Grove station. From Shady Grove & Bay E, take the 100 Germantown Transit Center Express to Clopper Road & Game Preserve Rd. The bus will drop you off in front of the state park's entrance.

Park Map

Blue Jay and Nuthatch pavilions can be found on the west (left) side of the map. We recommend traveling to the venue by car. All available public transportation ends at the park entrance, approximately 1.5 miles from Blue Jay and Nuthatch pavilions. Once you have entered the park: Drive straight until you reach the contact station (a ticket booth). Once you have passed through the contact station, take a right at the next split. Keep driving straight until you see a sign for "Blue Jay and Nuthatch Pavilions" (On your right) If you drive over the dam (by the lake) you just passed it.
