Whenever we are visiting D.C., we always try to hit the National Mall or visit one of the museums in the Smithsonian. John in particular loves visiting the Museum of Natural History. Jay can spend all day in the National Portrait Gallery.
Visit Charm City for a day or two! Come see the Inner Harbor where National Aquarium, the Baltimore Museum of Industry, and the American Visionary Art Museum all overlook the bay. Or relive history by walking the grounds at Fort McHenry National Monument. John recommends visiting the Walter's Art Museum followed by a visit to the George Peabody Library.
John and Jay love visiting Frederick every chance they get! Downtown boasts a variety of cute shops, amazing restaurants and bars, art galleries, and beautiful historic churches. If you're looking for museums, we reccommend the National Museum of Civil War Medicine. Or if you are looking to get lost in a bookstore, we love Curious Iguana downtown or Wonder Books off of W. Patrick street. Jay especially can't leave Frederick until he's visited Frederick Coffee Company or Shab Row Tea Emporium.
