We met for the first time in fifth grade, and were best friends by the start of sixth. We were inseparable, always choosing the other as a partner for group projects and pairing up in gym class. We grew up together. Finally, in January of 2020, we confessed that we "like liked" each other and decided to try dating, and we haven't looked back.

We both share a lot of the same interests, hobbies, and passions. We both love playing video games. We're both artists, with Lake's preferred medium being writing and Jay's being music. We are also always introducing our interests to each other. Jay is the person that finally got Lake to watch football, and Lake is the person that turned Jay into one of the biggest WMU hockey fans you'll meet. We love to learn and try new things together, too, like learning how to solve a Rubik's cube or driving four hours to go to a comic con that we only learned about that morning. We have already done so much together, and we're so excited to go into this next chapter of our lives together.
