The Wedding

5:30 pm - 11:00 pm

Magnolia Bells
699 FM 1486, Magnolia, TX 77354

This is a good ol' Texas hoedown so wear your jeans and boots or slacks and loafers! Whatever you feel comfortable doing the Cotton Eye Joe in!

MY LADIES: You will be walking from parking to the Chapel, Chapel to the Barn, and lastly from the Barn back to parking. It's a short loop but many areas are gravel or unpaved so it may be a wee bit daunting in heels. That being said, I would consider bringing some flats/flippies for the strolls along the property, or just throw on your boots and call it good ;) -For our older and most certainly wiser guests and anyone with injuries or other physical limitations, there will be golf carts to assist with the transitions between facilities.

Chapel Ceremony

5:30 pm - 6:00 pm

The Chapel at Magnolia Bells

I'm OH SO excited and grateful that our wedding will be officiated by Brother Mark Miles. Mark often times taught my youth group growing up at The Anchor in Surfside, TX alongside Billy Proske, Ms. Tina, and Lelly. His role in teaching me about Christ has impacted my life for eternity and I will forever be grateful. Additionally Jay had the privilege of meeting Mark in June and being baptized by him in the gulf coast waters of Surfside Beach. It's so special to me that a lifelong family friend and teacher from my childhood, someone that I love dearly will be officiating our wedding.

Wet Your Whistle Hour

6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Outside Barn Patio at Magnolia Bells

Traditionally, Houston has mild to cool winters. There will be heaters outside but as we all know, Texas is the land where you can get sunburn and frostbite in the same week so a light jacket for the ladies may be in order; I'll post a weather update one week out. There are a handful of barstools on the patio and I'm certain the gentlemen in attendance will make these available for the ladies.

There will be light nibbles to tide you over until supper while you wet your whistle!

Supper

7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Inside The Barn at Magnolia Bells

Think Southern Sunday Supper…chicken fried chicken breast with cream gravy, roast beef with brown gravy, mashed potatoes, buttered corn, salad, and some rolls to sop up that gravy. I'm a meat & potatoes kind of girl so it won't be low calorie or light on carbs but it'll be good for the soul...country fixins at it's finest!!

YEE HAW Texas Hoedown

8:00 pm - 11:00 pm

The Barn Hall Dance Floor at Magnolia Bells

Dance floor shenanigans will immediately follow supper. We will be omitting most, if not all, of the traditional wedding formalities. Those traditions are lovely but this "ain't" our first rodeo and we want to be able to maximize our time spent with y'all - our loved ones. These boots aren't gonna scoot themselves and there's a lot of Boot Scootin' Boogying to be done!! Y'all better brush up on line dances 'cause Cotton Eye Joe, Achy Breaky Heart, Copperhead Road, The Electric Slide, The Cha Cha and so on will be happening! "You gotta shimmy shake, Make the earth quake, Kick, Turn, Stomp, Stomp, Then you jump, Heel to toe, Do si do 'Til your boots wanna break 'Til your feet and your back ache, Keep it movin' 'til you just can't take anymore, Come on everybody ON THE FLOOR, A-one two, a-three four, Hup, two, hup, WOOOO"!!

For all the days along the way
