This was the first picture we ever took together, and this was also the first time we ever told each other "I love you"!

Emma met Honeybee for the first time. We'd say it went well, but Honeybee is super protective and wanted to be sandwiched in between us. She may like Emma more than Jay, who's to say?

First pride together - healing!

We spent the day with Jay's closest friends and celebrated our queerness loudly, proudly, and with the people Jay loves most.

Jay met Emma's dog, Delta, for the first time. They're now obsessed with one another and it's obnoxiously cute.

Jay met the besties! Everyone made a powerpoint + presented to one another, we laughed so hard, & Jay got overstimulated/went to bed when they heard karaoke was starting. Classic Jay, classic Emma.

Explored downtown Raleigh and ate a giant pile of fries.

Em took Jay to a cutsie coffee shop as a stop on their tour of Raleigh. Emma also got to show Jay her in-person office in Cary that she practices therapy in!

Jay planned a surprise for Emma's 33rd birthday, or as Jamie Tworkowski would call it, "the Jesus year". We had a candlelit dinner, ate some sweets, and got to make candles with one another.

Jay was nervous for the date even though they knew Emma would love it. Again, classic Jay.

Jay planned a surprise for Emma's 33rd & might've been more nervous for this than they were before they proposed. Not being dramatic. Jay reached out to the Wilmington besties & peace was restored.

We went to the fair after our brunch for Emma & Jada captured quite possibly one of the cutest photos of us. We also looked at our future apartment on this day - when you know, you know. We sure knew!

Nothing feels better than celebrating one another!

We are the stereotype and Jay has never packed all of their belongings so quickly in their life.

Emma flew to Philly to help Jay pack the remainder of their belongings, spent time with friends and saw where all of the Jay lore originated.

We had a great sendoff - we drove up to NY and saw Chappell Roan!

We drove up to NY, saw Chappell Roan, & got to meet our friend from Sunday Group, Maddy! We danced the night away, Jay cried, & we somehow made it out of the city in record timing.

We had a day of rest after Chappell Roan, which was much needed.

Jay drove through all the major cities on their move down to NC and we had matching lesbian tie-dye tank tops. We love a good bit. We're always going with the bit.

Secret's out - Emma & Jay aren't the only ones in love..... Delta and Honeybee are too (on their own terms). We love our little four legged creatures.

Our second concert together, this time in Raleigh! Billie Eilish!

Seeing Billie Eilish together was so beautiful. Jay cried (no one is shocked) and Emma discovered a new love: Young Miko - don't get her started!

Jay came in from a massage after work and Emma got down on one knee. Candles were lit, the dogs were assembled and ready, and Lucy Dacus' "Best Guess" was playing in the background.

We already started talking about planning the wedding the second we got engaged. This is not something either of us ever thought would happen!

Eternally grateful for the love we share and the life we get to build together. It's so surreal!
