Travel Note
Oaxaca is filled with beautiful hotels, charming bed and breakfasts, and unique Airbnbs. Below, we’ve listed a few hotel options at different price points (from most to least expensive), but we encourage guests to explore all options that suit their preferences and budgets. We’ve personally stayed in Airbnbs during past visits and found them to be both affordable and delightful. For the wedding weekend, the bride and groom will be staying in an Airbnb with family, and the wedding party will be split between hotels and Airbnbs. Centro is the most convenient neighborhood—close to restaurants, shops, and all wedding events. Reforma offers a more local, residential feel and is just a 20-minute walk or short Uber or taxi ride (5–10 minutes) from everything. Whether you want a luxury hotel, a boutique stay, or a cozy Airbnb, there’s something for everyone in Oaxaca. Feel free to reach out if you need help choosing!

Travel Note
Ubers and taxis are both available in Oaxaca. Taxis do not take USD, but many do take credit card. That said, most places are walkable — we recommend exploring the city by foot. Oaxaca is a very safe and walkable destination.
Flight
There are a few direct flights from Los Angeles (LAX) to Oaxaca City (OAX) via Volaris. There are more options via American, United, and Delta (through Aeromexico) with a layover in Mexico City (MEX). We recommend whatever flight is most convenient for you.

There are several flights from LGA, EWR, and JFK to Oaxaca (OAX), all through Mexico City (MEX). We recommend EWR or JFK.
