What is the dress code?
Answer
For the welcome party, cocktail attire. Think formal pants, crisp shirts, sports coats and loafers for the men, and cocktail dresses and jumpsuits for the ladies. For the wedding, we request formal/semi-formal attire in bright colors. Suits for the men and floor length colorful dresses for the ladies. We encourage you to dress up and have fun with it!

When and where is the wedding?

We’re getting married on Saturday, March 28, 2026 at 4pm in Oaxaca, Mexico! The venue is a mezcal distillery about 20 minutes from downtown Oaxaca, called Loma Noble. Shuttles will be provided from the city center departing from Hotel Sin Nombre.

How do I get to Oaxaca?
Answer
Oaxaca is a city in central Mexico (central time zone). Getting there is easy, as it has it's own airport, ubers and taxi options. Most guests will find a flight with a connection through Mexico City (MEX) is the most convenient and affordable option, but you can also fly in directly to Oaxaca Xoxocotlán International Airport (OAX) from several major U.S. cities (like LA!)

Why Oaxaca?
Answer
Because it is one of our favorite places in the world! It's also one of the first international trips we took as couple. After night two, we said, gee - this would be an awesome place to get married ... and now we are! Oaxaca is the epicenter of Mexican culture, food, and mezcal. You can explore Oaxaca for days - eating at Michelan star restaurants, tasting mezcal, drinking coffee, admiring architecture and shopping for textiles and still never get bored. We're so thrilled to share our favorite city with you.

Is this a destination wedding?

Hell ya it is — Mexico is Jawhara's second home, where else would we do this wedding? This will be a destination celebration — so we recommend making a mini vacation of it!

Will travel and accommodations be provided?
Answer
Guests are responsible for their own travel and lodging, but we’ll be sharing hotel block details, booking suggestions, and travel tips to make things as easy (and fun!) as possible. There are plenty of options in every budget range - including hotels and Air BNBs. The average rate is ~$80-150/night. We will be providing buses from the center of Oaxaca to the wedding venue (~20 min drive).

No — get a sitter. Happy to coordinate young parents in a group text to look into local care. Send us a note!

Answer
Yes. Oaxaca City is generally considered one of the safest destinations in Mexico for travelers. With basic awareness and common-sense precautions, visitors can explore comfortably and confidently.
