Our phenomenal vendors need ample time to plan accordingly so we ask that you please RSVP as soon as you know if you’ll be attending (or not!). November 10th, 2025 is our deadline to RSVP.
Wedding: The dress code is "coastal formal", or "elevated beach chic". For men, this could include linen suits or jackets (ties optional). For women, please wear cocktail attire or dresses in luxe fabrics. Feel free to wear sand-friendly shoes, as all wedding events will be on the beach. There will be mixed sun/shade exposure. Wear what you'll look great and be comfortable in! Welcome Party: You will be our something blue! Please wear cocktail attire and come in your favorite blue shade!
While we love your kids, we kindly ask that our wedding be an adults-only celebration. We understand there may be newborns who need to be with their parents - you're always welcome to step away and tend to your little one!
In order to keep our wedding as intimate as possible, only the guests formally invited on your wedding invitation will be accommodated. If you received a plus one they will appear when you RSVP.
If we don't receive your RSVP by November 10th 2025, it will automatically be marked as "no". We will miss celebrating with you, but it is imperative we provide our vendors with a final guest count within the time they have given us. Thank you for understanding!
In January, summer (or Verano, as locals call it) is in full swing in Costa Rica, which means there’s plenty of sunshine and warm, tropical weather. Temperatures reach from 70°F to 80°F. Despite the heat, northern winds keep the air fresh and breezy.
During the Ceremony, we'd love for you to unplug—please turn off your phones, cameras, and any other devices and be present to enjoy this special moment with us. During the Reception—yes! We'd love for you to take photos during the light refreshments and reception. Please send us any and all photos/videos you capture! Please also be mindful of the professional photographers so that they can do their thing.

No. Costa Rica accepts and uses the American dollar as currency. However, you may be given change in Costa Rican colones and will want to exchange or use them up before coming back to the US. We suggest letting your bank know that you will be traveling abroad so you can use your cards without being flagged while in Costa Rica.
Costa Rica observes Central Standard Time (CST) all year. There are no daylight savings time changes.
Outlets are the same as in the US, so no electric adaptors/converters are needed.
The biggest piece of advice is to always make sure to only ride with registered Costa Rican taxi drivers. It is not unusual for several people to ask you at the airport if you need a taxi. Unfortunately, some of these people are not legal taxi drivers and will overcharge you. You can always recognize official Costa Rican taxis because they are all red vehicles with a yellow triangle on the roof, driver’s side door, and front passenger side door. This yellow triangle contains their official taxi number. (We also have a link to book a private or shared airport shuttle on our "Travel page")
Waze and Google Maps work best in Costa! Apple Maps does not work here.
Please confirm with your phone provider on your available international plan. Also be sure to download WhatsApp- this will be the most common method of communication for locals.
