Empire Bluff Trail
Why it’s special: A short 1.5-mile hike with one of the most breathtaking views of Lake Michigan and Sleeping Bear Dunes. This is one of our favorite hikes. Perfect for: Sunset hikes or morning walks. Pro tip: Wear good shoes—there's a bit of elevation!
Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore
Activities: Climb the Dune Climb, kayak the Crystal River, or drive the Pierce Stocking Scenic Drive. Good for all ages. Can’t-miss: Stop at Overlook #9 on the drive for jaw-dropping views.
Pyramid Point
Hike difficulty: Moderate 2.7 miles round-trip. Reward: A dramatic bluff view of the Manitou Islands. Photo tip: Great spot for engagement-style shots or selfies!
Historic Fishtown
A historic fishing village with cute shops, smoked fish, and photo-worthy docks. Grab a sandwich at the Village Cheese Shanty (yes, there will be a line—worth it).
Glen Arbor
Great for a morning coffee (check out Leelanau Coffee Roasting Co.), beach walk, and Cherry Republic tasting room. Fun local shops and art galleries too!
