Guinigi Tower
The famous medieval tower with oak trees growing on the rooftop. Climb to the top for one of the best panoramic views of Lucca (you’ll see the red rooftops and the city walls).
Piazza dell’Anfiteatro
Lucca’s most iconic square, built on the remains of an ancient Roman amphitheater. It’s an oval piazza lined with cafés and shops. It's perfect for a spritz, gelato, and people-watching.
Le Mura di Lucca
A wide, tree-lined Renaissance wall that fully circles the historic center. It’s now a peaceful pedestrian path—perfect for a walk or bike ride, with shady benches, scenic viewpoints, and a great way to see the city from above.
Piazza Napoleone
Piazza Napoleone, also normally known as “Piazza Grande”, is historically the center of the city’s political power. Today, Piazza Napoleone is lively animated by cultural events and concerts, including the Lucca Summer Festival.
