Flight
You're likely to find the most cost-effective and convenient flights if you fly into the Denver International Airport. Vail is roughly a 2-hour drive from the airport. You can either rent a car or take a shuttle that travels round-trip from the airport to Vail.
Flight
Eagle County Regional Airport (EGE) is the closest airport to Vail, CO. The flights are typically more expensive, and you'll likely stop in Denver first, but the airport is only 30 minutes from Vail. There are some direct flights from Austin to EGE.
Rental Car
If you don't want to rent a car from the Airport. You can book a round-trip shuttle ride with Epic Mountain Express. The travel time is typically ~3 hours. The shuttle picks up directly from the airport and drops you off at your hotel or the Vail travel center.
Travel Note
Once you're in Vail, several bus lines can take you to different parts of town. The buses run late and are free to ride!
