It all started on September 23, 2019, when a simple Hinge match led to a first date at a local brewery. Jason knew right away there was something special about Jill, while she took a little longer to admit it — but by the end of that night, it was clear their story was just beginning. Five months later, they took their first trip together — a cruise to the Bahamas. When their return flight was canceled, they found themselves with an unexpected extra day in paradise, and Jill realized that if being stranded together could feel that easy, it might just be love. When the world slowed down during the pandemic, Jason was relocated to Prairie du Chien for work, and Jill spent countless weekends making the trip to see him. The distance wasn’t always easy, but it made the time they had together that much more meaningful. Before moving in together, they spent an extended month in Carolina Beach, just 100 steps from the water — Jill’s dream come true. Those quiet sunrise mornings on the sand and long walks by the ocean quickly became their favorite routine, and it’s where they truly fell in love with the beautiful North Carolina coast (they can’t wait for you to see it!). After a year of living together in Woodbury, Minnesota, and settling into remote work, they found themselves craving more adventure. So, they took the opportunity of a lifetime — packing their entire world into a storage unit and a sedan — and hit the road to explore the country together. They spent the next year traveling across the U.S., living in places like Nashville (where Jason became a surprise country music fan), Utah (for hiking and adventure), Denver (for skiing and snowboarding), and Biloxi, Mississippi (for sunsets and southern charm). Each stop added a new chapter to their story and deepened their appreciation for exploring life side by side. On May 3, 2025, during a perfect boat day up the Mississippi River to Hudson, Jason proposed as the sun shimmered across the water. Jill said yes — and now, they’re returning to the Carolina coast, where so much of their story began, to say “I do.” They can't wait for you to join them to celebrate the greatest adventure of a lifetime.
