The Questions

The Wedding Website of Jeffrey Thomson and Jason Weisfield
If you have any questions other than the ones listed here, please contact us at both thomson.jeff66@gmail.com and jasonweisfield@icloud.com.
Question

What should I wear?

Answer

The dress code for the wedding is black tie optional. Men are encouraged but not required to wear a tuxedo. A formal dark suit and tie is an appropriate alternative. Women are encouraged to wear a long evening gown, but either a dressy suit or a shorter cocktail dress is appropriate.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Our wedding is strictly RSVP only. We will only be able to accommodate those listed on your invitation.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we love your little ones, our wedding is going to be an adults-only event so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us.

Question

Where are the ceremony and reception taking place?

Answer

Both the ceremony and reception will take place at Il Terrazzo Carmine, located at 411 First Avenue South, Seattle, Washington. The ceremony will begin promptly at 5:30 p.m. Please arrive plenty early to park and settle in your seat.

Question

Where are you registered?

Answer

Please visit "The Registry" page to see a list of our registries. We are registered at Crate & Barrel and Bloomingdale's. Additionally, we have created Zola registries to help fund our honeymoon.

Question

Will the ceremony and reception be indoor or outdoors?

Answer

Both the ceremony and reception will be held mostly indoors, but some people will be seated on the attached terrace for both the ceremony and dinner. The terrace is separated from the restaurant by large windows and doors which will be completely opened during the ceremony to allow for a seamless indoor/outdoor experience. Dancing and the cocktail reception will be held completely indoors.

Question

What will the weather be like this time of year?

Answer

The weather in Seattle in August is sunny and warm during the day, while the nights remain cooler. To prepare for your stay, make sure to bring along a few warm items. You will need these in the evenings.

Question

What happens after the ceremony?

Answer

After the ceremony, there will be a cocktail reception with a hosted bar.

Question

Are there other wedding events I can attend?

Answer

We encourage everyone to join us on both Saturday night for celebratory drinks and Monday morning for a good-bye brunch. Please see "The Plan" page for more details as they become available.

Question

What should I do if I cannot make it?

Answer

You will be missed! If you cannot make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP “no,” so we can plan accordingly. Thank you!

Question

How do I get to the venue?

Answer

The venue is located at 411 First Avenue South, Seattle, Washington. If you are staying at one of our room blocks, the venue is only a few blocks away. Uber and Lyft make excellent alternatives to driving if you are heading to the venue from another part of the city.

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

You should arrive by 5:00 p.m. The ceremony will begin promptly at 5:30 p.m. and all guests should be seated by 5:15 p.m.

Question

Do you have a hotel block for guests? Where do you recommend I stay?

Answer

Please visit "The Travel" page to find the hotels at which we have a designated guest block. We currently have a large block of rooms at the Embassy Suites Seattle Pioneer Square, which is only a few blocks from the wedding venue. If the block has already been filled, you may still book at the hotel or other hotels if vacancy permits, but you will need to contact the individual hotel to inquire.

Question

Where should guests park?

Answer

If you are not staying at our designated hotel room block or at a hotel nearby, we encourage all of our guests to use Uber or Lyft to travel to and from the venue. However, if you have to drive, there is a parking garage directly behind Il Terrazzo Carmine that offers complimentary valet service for our event. The parking garage is located at 450 Alaskan Way South, Seattle, Washington 98104.

Question

When is the RSVP deadline? Do I need to mail back my RSVP or can I do it online?

Answer

The deadline to RSVP is no later than Monday, July 12, 2021. We respectfully request that you use the RSVP return card included with your invitation to complete your RSVP. If you lost or misplaced that card please contact us at thomson.jeff66@gmail.com. We kindly encourage everyone to RSVP as soon as possible.

Question

Are the ceremony and reception location wheelchair accessible?

Answer

The venue for the ceremony and reception are entirely wheelchair accessible.

Question

Will food and drinks be served at the reception? What kind of food?

Answer

Food and beverages will be served at the reception. In addition to a hosted bar, there will be hors d'oeuvres, a salad course, a plated dinner (beef, chicken, or vegetarian), and passed dessert. Please indicate your meal preferences on the return card included with your invitation.

Question

Will transportation be provided between to/from the hotel?

Answer

Given the proximity of the venue to the hotels, transportation will not be provided to and from the hotel.

Question

Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media?

Answer

Yes, we encourage guests to post pictures on to their social media channels, our only request is that you tag each photo with our wedding hashtag #J2REDO so we can keep track of all of your pictures!

I still have questions, what is the best way to contact you?

Answer

If you still have questions, please contact both Jason and Jeff at jasonweisfield@icloud.com and thomson.jeff66@gmail.com.
