Elline and Jason were unintentionally set up on a blind double date by his long-time friend, Vance. Elline was intrigued by the sports coat and dress shoes he wore to the bowling alley, and even more impressed with his smooth moves at the Continental Club in Downtown LA. That night, they discussed an official one on one date night over greasy LA tacos in a gas station's parking lot and have been inseparable since.

On July 2022, Jason and his family flew to Oahu, Hawaii for his Mom's 70th birthday. We had planned a surprise family photoshoot on the beach for her birthday, but little did Elline know... the photoshoot was for her! When it was their turn for photos, Elline was delightfully surprised to see Jason behind her, down on one knee, drenched from the waves crashing onto the shore. Elline's heart swelled with joy and excitement, with a slight ounce of nervousness. She was left speechless, allowing her tears to do the talking. Rightfully, Jason assumed that meant "yes." Jason's family helped orchestrate the proposal, with the final surprise of the presence of her family and friends via Zoom.

Some of our most fondest memories and romantic moments have been experienced in our travels through the tropics. It only feels right to get wed in a place that reminds us of how our love story transpired throughout the years, but it feels even better to have the presence of our favorite people to complete this special moment.
