Note, there are two airports in CDMX, but we suggest you fly into Benito Juarez Airport, airport code MEX.
Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo International Airport. Airport code ZIH. Aeromexico typically operates two daily flights—one in the morning and one in the evening. Volaris and Viva Aerobus also offer around 1–2 flights per day, though schedules may vary by season.
Yes, Zihuatanejo is safe for visitors, especially in tourist-friendly areas like the beaches, resorts, and the town center where our wedding events will take place. We do acknowledge that Zihuatanejo is located in the state of Guerrero, which doesn’t always get the best reputation. That said, Zihua and nearby Ixtapa are considered very safe. As with any travel, we recommend taking standard precautions: use official taxis or pre-arranged transportation, avoid flashing valuables, and stay aware of your surroundings. The community here is incredibly warm and welcoming, and tourism is a big part of daily life, visitors are treated with genuine hospitality.
