Flight
Valencia is well-connected and easy to reach, whether you’re flying in directly or planning to explore more of Spain before the wedding. Valencia’s main international airport is just 20–30 minutes from the city center by taxi or metro, with direct flights from major hubs like London, Paris, Amsterdam, Frankfurt, and more. If you’re flying from outside Europe or looking for more flight options, Madrid-Barajas (MAD) and Barcelona-El Prat (BCN) are major international airports worth considering as alternative entry points.
Train
Spain’s high-speed AVE trains offer a scenic and efficient way to reach Valencia. From Madrid, the journey takes about 1 hour and 45 minutes, and from Barcelona, around 3 hours and 15 minutes. Trains arrive at Estació del Nord, right in the city center and within easy reach of most hotels. Tickets can be purchased online through Renfe or at the station. Train tickets are typically released 1–3 months in advance, so we recommend booking early, especially for weekend travel. From Estació del Nord, you can reach your hotel easily by taxi or a short walk.
Travel Note
Spain is part of the Schengen Area, so travelers from the US, UK, and many other countries can enter visa-free for up to 90 days. Make sure your passport is valid for at least 3 months beyond your stay.
Travel Note
From the Airport to the City Taxi: ~€30 to central Valencia (20–30 min). Metro: Lines 3 or 5 to Xàtiva/Colón, €4–5 (25 min). Rideshare: Uber and Cabify are available.
