Jason and Carrie met as young, eager, sophomores in college at the University of Illinois, at Urbana-Champaign. Although the story differs depending on who's telling it, rumor has it, Carrie made fun of Jason for his taste in music, Jason accidentally spilled a drink on Carrie, and the rest is history!

For those who don't know, Jason is a master planner as well as a superb secret keeper! Jason planned the engagement for multiple months, including coordinating the travel of out of town family, planning a surprise engagement party, and setting up the apartment so that when Carrie returned from brunch, she was shocked to find Jason on one knee, ready to propose!
