What is the attire for the ceremony and reception?

Answer

Ranchero/Vaquero formal attire is suggested - think elevated western wear! Boots are strongly encouraged for the reception since the ground will be dirt. Cowboy hats add the perfect touch!

How early should I arrive to mass?

Please arrive early - we suggest arriving between 11:30-11:45am.

How do we get to the reception?

Answer

We'll post more detailed info here once we are closer to the date and we'll do our best to facilitate going to and from the house. --- You can take a taxi - the "taxi spot" is located right down the block from the hotel. There will be signage along the way to help navigate too. Taxi directions: "Vamos a la casa de Don Mere Mendieta en el Tepetate"... For the most part, everyone knows where that is! #smalltownvibes More detailed directions: Vamos al Tepetate - esta sobre la Carretera a Higueras, pasando El Tasajillo. La casa esta en la equina donde baja la calle al terrero y Milpillas. Translations: We're going to Don Mere's house in El Tepetate. We are going to El Tepetate - it is on the Road to Higueras past El Tasajillo. The house is on the corner where there is a road that leads to the 'terrero' (that's just what they call the dirt soccer field) and Milpillas.

Cash or Card?

Answer

Cash is king.. especially in Victoria and any small towns! If you are staying in a large city, cards are widely accepted, but cash is still heavily used.
