Our good friend, Adam Armbruster, introduced us when I was visiting their university campus back in 2015. Over the summer we hung out as a group on occasion, Zach and I becoming fast friends. It wasn't until early 2016 when we were out to dinner with a group of friends that someone let it slip, after one too many margaritas, that I had a crush on Zach. Being the caring friend that he is, Zach reached out to me with concern since my demeanor had changed that night. It could have just been left at that, but we kept the conversation going for weeks - at times talking into the early morning hours despite any classes in the morning. Come late February, we expressed that we had been falling for one another and decided to take the leap into our relationship. 7 years later - here we are! Love, Jas

It was the bamboozle of the year - big thanks to Rachel and Nick for being the best co-conspirators. I had found the perfect ring in the summer of 2021, but the perfect timing had to wait till early 2022. During that period, Jas took it upon herself to assume any time or place would be the ideal opportunity for me to pop the big question. Zach’s tying his shoe at McDonalds? I think he’s about to do it. Zach sneezes at a car wash? Oh he’s definitely about to do it. Zach’s scratching himself in public? Holy crap is he reaching for something in his pocket?! Wrong. The place was to be along the cliff walk of Newport, Rhode Island on April 8th. The location of our first date. Unbeknownst to Jas, she then tried her hardest to change every single part of my plan. Should we go on a different day? No. Should we go at a different time? No. Maybe we can stop and see our friend in Connecticut before we get there. No. I should have known better, but I finally got her there. We walked the trail to our favorite spot, and my pits could not have been more spicy. I blacked out and said some stuff, Jas blacked out and said some stuff, and now we’re engaged. Romantic, right? Love, Zach
