Yes! The Bahamas requires a passport that has an expiration date no less than 6 months before your date of arrival. Please make sure you have your up-to-date passport ready to go!
We highly recommend to travelers coming to Eleuthera is to look into an international cell service plan through your mobile provider. Wifi is not always available and we want to make sure you can contact us if you need us!
We highly recommend renting a car. There will be shuttle services to and from the events but if you want to explore the island on your own you will need your own transportation. Taxis can be pricy and Uber/Lyft does not exist!
The Bahamian dollar and the USD are both used on the islands. They have an equal exchange rate and can be used interchangeably. We recommend bringing cash with you for taxis, food, tips, etc.
As much as we love your little ones, we kindly request an adults-only celebration. We hope you'll use this as a chance for a mini getaway - so that all guests can relax and enjoy themselves.
There are lots of grocery stores and restaurants on the island for you to try the local cuisine! Keep in mind however that because it is an island, everything is imported making food prices much more expensive than what you may be used to. If you have favorite snacks we recommend packing them up with you to bring from home (just no fresh fruits or veggies).
Feel free to reach out to either of us via text or email and we will be happy to answer any questions!
