Are kids welcome?

Answer

We know many of our friends and loved ones have children, and understand the challenge of leaving them in the care of others. Due to space, we would prefer if it were just you, kid free for the weekend. However, if you cannot come without the munchkins, please reach out to us directly as we will need to adjust the overall head count for the weekend. Thank you. P.s. Nothing against the babies, we LOVE your children!

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Yes, please head to the travel page and click on the link for our host hotel. Discounts for the room blocks have already been applied by the hotel via the link. Breakfast and free parking are included in the rate. Please note, if you do not secure your room at this hotel using the link we’ve provided, you will be charged the standard nightly rate.

Can I stay somewhere other than the host hotel?

Answer

Yes, absolutely! If you prefer to stay at another hotel or even an Airbnb, Houston has plenty to offer. We recommend looking in the Greater Houston Heights area/Galleria area to be in close proximity to most of our planned events. Within those two areas, you will find a wide range of homes and hotels that will fall within your budget/preferred style.

What airport would you recommend flying into?

Answer

Houston has two airports, Houston Hobby (HOU) and Bush International (IAH). Hobby is smaller and, often times, cheaper to fly into. HOU is also 5-10 minutes closer (depending on traffic) to where the hotels will be, and tends to be a cheaper Uber/Lyft ride into town.

How Do I Get Around?

Answer

Uber/Lyft are affordable and easy options for getting around Houston. Whether you fly into HOU or IAH, both airports have multiple car rental services available.

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to any of the events?

Answer

On Saturday 10/10, there will be transportation available to/from the Rodeo Day Arena. If you are renting a car, you are more than welcome to self-drive. More details are forthcoming.

Is there a dress code for the ceremony?

Answer

Yes, the dress code for the ceremony on 10/11 is semi-formal/cocktail attire.

Is there parking for the ceremony and reception on 10/11?

Answer

No, self-parking is not permitted for events of our size. However, no need to worry, a valet service will be present to park and retrieve your car at no cost to you (tip if you like). Uber/Lyft is encouraged.
