FAQs

Question

When should I RSVP?

Answer

Please RSVP as soon as possible - the earlier we know, the easier it is for us to plan all the little details to make it a perfect day! But officially, please let us know by 3rd April. If we don’t hear from you by then, we’ll assume you're unable to attend.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

We’ve carefully planned our guest list, so only those who have been allocated a plus one will see their name alongside “& guest” on the invitation.

Question

Do you have a gift registry?

Answer

Your presence at our wedding is more than enough 🤍 However, if you would like to give a gift, a contribution towards our honeymoon fund would be greatly appreciated. You can find our honeymoon fund here: https://www.weddingshop.com/giftlist/jasmineandbenjamin2026

Question

How should we get to the wedding ceremony?

Answer

We recommend travelling to the venue by taxi, and ideally pre-booking this in advance for a smooth and stress-free journey.

Question

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Outdoors! Both the ceremony and reception will be under the Cretan sunshine (and stars later in the evening). A contingency plan is in place in case of wet weather.

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

Please arrive from 4pm for welcome drinks. Guests will be seated by 4:45pm for a 5:00pm ceremony.

Question

Can I take photos?

Answer

We kindly ask that you keep phones and cameras away during the ceremony so everyone can be fully present with us (and leave the professional shots to our photographer). After that, feel free to take as many as you like!

Question

How long should I spend in Rethymno?

Answer

Completely up to you! We’ll be in Rethymno from 29th May to 12th June, so feel free to make a little holiday of it, or just pop over for the wedding celebrations on the day.

Question

Do I need cash, or is everywhere card-friendly?

Answer

Most places in Rethymno accept card payments, though we’d recommend carrying both cash and card. From our experience, some taxi drivers only take cash.

Question

Is car hire recommended in Crete?

Answer

Car hire isn’t essential if you’re staying in Rethymno, as the town is very walkable and taxis are readily available. However, if you’re planning to explore more of Crete during your stay, hiring a car is a great option.
