Ultimately, we don't know. Weather in Chicago at the end of April tends to range between 45-65 degrees fahrenheit. It could be sunny, it could be foggy, it could be rainy, and less likely, but still possible, it could be snowy. We have had 75 degrees and sunny at the end of April and 32 degrees and snowy, so best to check weather predictions come closer to the date to try and get a better idea. The venue will be inside, and there will be a place to hang coats.
Testing We ask that all of our guests please take a rapid Covid-19 test day of the event, and to stay home if they test positive. Masking This is an indoor, unventilated event in which people will be drinking and eating as well as a sit down dinner, therefore we are not requiring masks, however guests are welcome to mask for their own comfort and safety.
This is a semi formal event. That means dresses, trousers, button ups, and blazers are all on the docket. Ultimately, we'd love everyone to feel like their cutest, hottest selves whatever that means to them. This is a queer wedding. Bright colors are encouraged. Bring your looks. Jasmine has expressed explicitly that no jeans are allowed.
Bus By CTA (Chicago Transit Authority), the venue runs directly on the 152 bus route on Addison (stops running on Sundays around 9pm). It is a 15 minute walk from both the 80 on Irving Park (24 hours) and the 77 on Belmont (24 hours) as well as a 5 minute walk from the 94 on California. CTA bus fare is $2.25/ride and $2.50/ride for the train. Day passes, 3-day passes, and week passes are available through Ventra (the CTA app). Driving There is free parking on California Ave. Our venue has requested that folks who are driving specifically park on either California Ave just east of the venue or Waveland Ave just north of the venue. We will be having Persian food with both meat and vegetarian/vegan options! Please include any dietary restrictions or allergies with your RSVP so we can take care of you to our best ability!
Guests are welcome to start arriving at 4pm! Ceremony starts at 430pm with some snacks to follow. Dinner is at 6pm. Dancing to end of the night! Out by 11pm!
11pm strikes and you want to keep going? We're planning on meeting up at a bar (TBD) to hang out until they kick us out or before that if we're just plain tired.
