Travel Documents for U.S. Citizens Traveling to Mexico: For our U.S. guests traveling to Mexico for our wedding, here’s what you’ll need to know: 1. Passport U.S. citizens must have a valid passport to enter Mexico. Your passport should be valid for at least 6 months beyond your intended departure date from Mexico. 2. Tourist Card (FMM) Upon arrival in Mexico, U.S. travelers are required to complete a tourist card, known as the Forma Migratoria Multiple (FMM). This card is typically provided by airlines during your flight or available at the airport when you land. Be sure to keep it with you throughout your stay, as you’ll need to present it when you depart. 3. No Visa Required For U.S. citizens, a visa is not required for stays of 180 days or less for tourism purposes. You’ll simply need your passport and the completed tourist card.
