There is always two sides to a story. Here are ours:

Best Day Ever!

Jaskiran's POV: A modern-day love story! I saw him, he saw me, and we both swiped right. We had matched on tinder and after Connor tried some very cheesy pick-up lines, I agreed to go on, what can only be described as the most Fresno, Fresno date: we met at Riverpark for a drink and decided to keep hanging out and headed over to Woodward park for a sunset walk After spring break, we kept in touch through text messages. Then it happened - COVID-19. We both moved back home with our parents as we finished up college. At this point Connor did not have a car, so I drove over and picked him to go on walks we had a very special chaperon named TOBY. On our third or fourth walk when I was picking Connor up the gardener extraordinaire Pamela saw me pull up and asked if I wanted to play cornhole in the evening with the family. On this particular walk I realized this relationship could turn into something more and when we were driving back a very nervous Connor asked if I wanted to play cornhole with his family to which I said DO YOU WANT ME TO PLAY CORNHOLE with YOUR family (please note every word was emphasized and a lot of skepticism was heard in my voice.)  he said yes and that’s when I met Pamela, John and Carissa and what can only be described as one of the longest cornhole games. A few weeks later we were girlfriend and boyfriend and he met my family shortly after at an eventful dinner. From that point forward we knew we were in it for the long haul and let our lives merges as we moved to Virgina where Connor started and graduated with his PhD in statistics. We can’t wait to celebrate this next chapter of our lives with you! Connor's POV: Apparently, Jaskiran first met me when I was tutoring at the tutorial center and was obnoxiously happy. I first encountered Jaskiran on Tinder in the Spring of 2019, where I managed to misspell her name as Kirsten. Luckily for me, Jaskiran gave me another chance, and I gave her a date she would not forget, at least for a couple of months. The pandemic brought us back from our respective universities to our hometown of Fresno. During this time, we began taking socially distanced walks together, eventually eliminating the distance part. Immediately, we got to know one another’s families. During this time, I was applying for a PhD in Statistics and ended up selecting the University of Virginia. Jas also happened to move to Virginia… totally a coincidence. While at Virginia, we strengthened our relationship, learned how to live together, and found our rhythm. During our time in Virginia, these West Coasters explored the big cities and national parks of the East Coast. Then, one fateful day in October of 2024, we headed to New York City, where I would give a presentation, and there I popped the question at golden hour underneath the Brooklyn Bridge.
