Take about a 30 minute bus or taxi ride from the Villa Verano to the village of Boca de Tomatlan and then catch a panga, (a small boat), at the beach there to Yelapa (no roads to Yelapa). Be sure to arrange a return trip with the boat driver.

Take the stairs from the Malecon foot bridge down to the River Cuale walk. Lots of shopping at the various souvenir and craft booths. Watch for the cute iguanas in the trees!

It's on the river and has live bands every day of the week (no cover charge), typically from 3:00pm to 6:00pm or 7:00pm, check their website to confirm times and featured bands.
