We recommend flying into Palm Springs airport, as that is less than an hour to Joshua Tree. Flying into LAX is also an option, the flights could be cheaper and might have more time options but it’s a 2.5 hour drive to Joshua Tree. The drive from Palm Springs to the JT campground is 54 min and quite beautiful drive through the mountains. We recommend getting a rental car or a large vehicle to share with your friends. We can only have 8 vehicles drive to the national park for the ceremony, so carpooling will be necessary for that event. Before renting a car feel free to reach out to Jake or Ashlee if you have questions or concerns lol.
House Or Rental
Joshua Tree Village Campground
This campground has a large house and multiple RVs trailers on the property, which will allow privacy and room for all guests (excluding immediate family). We are renting it from 4/11/25 @1100 - 4/13/25 @1600. This place will also second as our dinner/celebration location too. This is complementary to our guest as we are thankful you all are joining us for this celebration. This is camping vibes so it will be roughing it a bit and tighter quarters, but we will have extra portapoties in addition to the 7 fulls baths on the property. If you choose to stay somewhere else search Air B&B or VRBO or booking.com for houses as close to this location or the national park as you can get, but we hope you choose to stay with us. The campground has a hot tub and a cowboy pool if you want to bring your swimsuits!
Travel Note
Ceremony need to know
The ceremony will be at the hidden valley picnic area (google the name). It is the desert so wear shoes that can get dirty and that are comfy enough to walk around in. To get to the ceremony location will be like a 5 minute walk through the sandy dirt with no path. Find the rock formation with the flowers set for the alter, I will figure out how to post a map for reference but it won’t be too difficult to find or walk there. Each car will have a $30 fee to get in and my permit only covers 8 vehicles so carpooling will be necessary, don’t mention you are with the wedding party unless they ask. It is a 36 min drive from the campground but feels quick since it’s so pretty. You will lose service so be prepared for that. Please be 10 min early and bring a layer incase it gets cold quickly as the sun goes down (it’s the desert and probs will).
