For guests flying in, the closest and most convenient airport is Asheville Regional Airport (AVL), located about 45–50 minutes from Castle Ladyhawke. Because the venue is in the mountains and rideshare options can be limited, we recommend renting a car for the weekend to make getting around easier. Plus, the drive through the Blue Ridge Mountains is beautiful! Carpool with your pals!

Sylva is a charming mountain town with restaurants, breweries, and shops, making it a great home base for the weekend. You can find a variety of cabins, cottages, and mountain homes available for rent, many with beautiful views and space for groups.

Guests are welcome to stay at Bear Lake Reserve, a beautiful private mountain resort located about 10 minutes from Castle Ladyhawke. The property offers a variety of accommodations including cottages and mountain homes, making it a great option for families or groups of friends who want to stay together. Guests can also enjoy resort amenities such as the lake, hiking trails, and dining options during their stay (Golf course will be closed). Our guests receive 15% off their stay when booking at Bear Lake Reserve. This is also the closest lodging option to the venue, and a shuttle will be available to and from the wedding to make transportation easy.
